Segun Okuneye is a distinguished leader in the Nigerian ICT sector. He currently serves as the Deputy Director, Strategic Business Initiatives, ipNX Nigeria Limited. With over two decades of extensive experience spanning the Systems Integrator and Telecommunications ICT sub-sectors, Segun has firmly established himself as a thought leader and achiever in the industry.
In his current role, Segun supports strategic business efforts focused on business development, key stakeholder engagements, and ecosystem partnerships among other portfolio responsibilities.
Segun’s influence extends beyond corporate leadership. He is a sought-after speaker and panel chair at national and international industry events, with distinguished examples in fora such as Capacity Africa (Rwanda), Broadband World Forum (France), AfricaCom (South Africa), and the E-Government Summit (Nigeria) to mention a few. His insightful presentations and conversations on technology trends and their socio-economic impact, including contributions to the Nigeria National Broadband Plan 2022–2025, have positioned him as a leading voice in shaping the future of digital innovation and governance.
As a thought leader, Olusegun Okuneye continues to contribute significantly to the ICT sector, driving impactful dialogue and advancing digital innovation on prominent platforms. He is a certified project manager and expert in IT Service Management. An alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School (Pan-Atlantic University) where he obtained an Executive MBA, and the University of Lagos with a Master of Science degree in Information Technology, Segun also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. His academic credentials underpin a career marked by innovation, strategic leadership, and a profound understanding of digital transformation.
He currently a member of the National Executive Council of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON). Also, he is the current Chairman of the ICT Sectoral group and a board member of the Business Education Services and Training (BEST) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
